A community-driven technology hub building digital futures in the heart of Western Uganda.
Kigezi Innovation Hub was founded by High Five Digital Communications Ltd with a clear belief: the Kigezi region is rich with talent and potential — but opportunity has not always matched that potential.
We believe a young person in Kihihi, Kabale, Kisoro, or Rukungiri deserves the same digital opportunities as anyone in Kampala, Nairobi, or New York.

To transform Kigezi into a thriving digital innovation hub that produces world-class talent, ideas, and solutions — and earns its place on the global tech map.
To equip young people with the skills, tools, and mindset to participate fully in the digital economy — and to build technology that serves their communities.
Talent is everywhere in Kigezi. What is needed is access, mentorship, opportunity, and the unwavering belief that young people here can shape the future.
Every program is designed with equity in mind. No young person is excluded because of poverty, gender, or background.
Technology must serve real people. We design all programs around actual needs in Kigezi communities.
We encourage bold thinking, experimentation, and local solutions to local problems using global tools.
Knowledge is the most powerful tool we can give young people. Every resource we share unlocks new possibilities.
Local roots, global reach. We connect Kigezi youth with mentors, partners, and opportunities worldwide.
Digital tools and knowledge should not be gatekept by geography, income, or circumstance.
Kigezi Innovation Hub is a flagship community programme of High Five Digital Communications Ltd, a Uganda-based digital communications company committed to growing technology access and digital literacy across the country.
High Five Digital believes that digital transformation must include everyone — especially communities in regions that have historically been overlooked by mainstream technology investment.

Five practical programs turning young people in Kigezi into confident digital innovators and entrepreneurs.
Computer literacy, web development, digital marketing, graphic design, and content creation — building real portfolios and income opportunities for youth.
We introduce youth to AI tools and show them how to build businesses, automate tasks, and solve community problems. Youth become creators of AI, not just consumers.
Educating young innovators about blockchain development, DApps, and Web3 opportunities through workshops, research groups, and global partnerships.
Adapting blockchain for local use cases communities in Kigezi need right now — solutions designed for rural African realities, not imported from elsewhere.
Introducing students to programming, computational thinking, and problem-solving at an early age. A child who writes their first line of code today could become tomorrow's tech entrepreneur.
Apply for any program or bring one to your school or community.

For youth from families in extreme poverty, we offer fully subsidised training with every barrier removed.
We work with outreach partners to invite street-connected children into safe, structured digital learning.
We open our programs to displaced youth so digital skills become a foundation for rebuilding lives and futures.
We actively recruit and support young women and girls to ensure gender equity across all programs.
For vulnerable youth, digital training alone is not enough. We wrap programs with the support young people actually need to succeed.
Hub computers available for free use by all enrolled participants, including evenings and weekends.
Every participant is connected with an experienced mentor guiding them through learning and career development.
We help graduates access online platforms, build profiles, and land their first clients to earn income.
Youth with startup ideas get workspace, expert advisors, and connections to early-stage funding opportunities.
With the right support, mentorship, and access to technology, the next generation of innovators can rise right here from the hills of Kigezi — and build solutions that impact Uganda, Africa, and the world.— Kigezi Innovation Hub
